How long does it take to set up a website?
If you place an online order your site will be up and running within a few hours - as soon as we receive and verify your payment.
Payment by cheque requires funds to clear before site goes 'live'.

What is the 14 day money-back-guarantee?
Just what it says.
We are confident that you will find your wedding website useful and fun. However, if, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the service during the first 14 days after you order you can cancel and your fee will be refunded in full.
You request a cancelation l by emailing cancel@ourweddingplans.co.uk with the bride and groom's name and the email address you used to sign up with.
After the 14 day period you are committed to the full term of your contract - no refunds will be given after this period

Is it safe to pay online with my credit card?
Many people are concerned about using a credit card online. We use PAYPAL as a simple and secure payment gateway (they are owned and run by EBAY: the auction site)
When you go through the order process you will see the padlock icon in your browser's status bar. This is your reassurance that none of your details will be seen by any third parties. In fact because PAYPAL handle the whole financial transaction even we don't get to see your card details.

Can I pay by cheque?
If you would prefer to pay by cheque that is perfectly acceptable.

Can I pay in instalments?
No. We ask for full payment to be made up front either with a credit card using our online order form or by cheque.

I want to give a website as a wedding gift, how do I do this?
Simply select this option on the order form and you will be taken through the payment process. Once payment is made the recipients will be sent an email asking them to login and set up their site with their names, choice of design and other information

What if I don't like any of the available designs?
Maybe you want a slightly different colour-scheme or have some images you would like to include in the page layout.
Contact us to see if we can produce the look you're after.
We will need to make a small charge for this service but it could be worth it to get just what you want.
Design work is usually charged at £15 per hour.

What if I don't want all the standard features?
Let us know in the 'other information' box when you order and we will try to accommodate your wishes.

What if I want a feature which isn't included in the standard package?
Contact us to discuss whether it's possible to do what you want and how much we might charge to do it - in some cases there may be no charge at all

What if I want to keep the site for longer than I originally signed up for?
You can pay for additional months by logging in to the members area of this site and following the 'My Account' link.
Simply click the 'Order Extra Months' button and select whether you wish to pay by credit card online or cheque
Extra months are charged at a flat rate of £10 per month

What happens at the end of my contract?
Your site will be added to our 'archive' so that you can view it, but not edit it, in the future
You will be offered a range of ongoing 'hosting' deals to keep a 'family' website going

I'm not very good with computers - can I still manage a website?
We have done everything possible to make the process of adding and editing content as straightforward as possible that's why we make the claim that anyone who can send an email can do it.
If you can type (however slowly) and follow basic on-screen instructions you will be fine.

What technical requirements are there for adding content to the site?
A PC computer running a recent version of a standard web-browser such as Internet Explorer 5.5+, Nescape 6.0+, Mozilla Firefox 1.0+ with Javascript enabled (see tech note)

Can I make updates to my site by email, post, phone or SMS?
At present you can only update your site by logging into the site via a web browser running on a PC

Will you manage the content for me?
The basis of our service is that you manage the content yourself - after all you know what your plans are.
However, if you require help with some aspect of adding or editing articles, information or images you can contact us via the members area.

Are there any online tutorials or help files?
Help files can be found in the members area of ths site along with a range of "How do I ... ?" tutorials which cover most of the key aspects of managing your site and editing content

Can I have FTP access to upload my own web-pages?

Due to specific technical requirements of the service there is not an option to host the site yourself

Can I just purchase a template from you?
Our page layouts are specifically designed for use with our system so we do not offer them as stand-alone templates.
We are able to undertake freelance design work at very reasonable rates.
